Minecraft will receive two great DLCs this week to PlayStation. The package will include a paid skins package based on the animated series “The Simpsons”, and a free upgrade with Alex, a female version of the protagonist Steve. The packs should be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita from today April 28, 2015.
Sony has announced this news via its official blog here that the PS3, PS Vita and PS4 Minecraft versions will receive a new package with the characters of the television series The Simpsons. Besides the inevitable Simpsons family, the package will also include several familiar characters to all fans of fun animated series. The package will cost €3.99.
Launched earlier this year for versions of Xbox One and Xbox 360, the extra content has included the traditional yellow family consisting of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Besides them, there are still several other characters in the school of Springfield, like Nelson, director Skinner, the driver Otto, the caretaker Willie and many more.
Versions of Playstation will also receive free Alex, the female protagonist of Minecraft that is an alternative to Steve. According to the head of communication of Mojang, Owen Hill, everyone loves Steve, but it does not represent the diversity of the gaming audience. Alex will have eight costume changes, as well as Steve.
Before that a new free update will be available, which includes eight new facts to the characters base, Steve and Alex.
