Silent Hills PT Demo download available from Playstation Network till April 29, 2015

Konami has announced that Silent Hills PT Demo available from Playstation Network will soon disappear from the PlayStation Store. Distance take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Among the reasons, there are no details. Thus, it is also unclear whether the fact that Hideo Kojima’s previous employer at Konami, after the release of “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” will leave, has something to do with it.

The PT-demo was released in August of last year and achieved download numbers in the millions in a very short time. Involved in “Silent Hills” is also Norman Reedus, who declared a few months ago: “I am very excited to be a part of Silent Hills. Both Hideo Kojima as well as Guillermo Del Toro are geniuses in their fields. We have not yet taken up the main part of it. Kojima took directly after Guillermo contacted me.”

It is unclear how it will continue under the new situation at Konami and the expected discontinuation of Kojima with “Silent Hills”.

Del Toro, who was at an event at the Theatre Casto talking about projects like the sequel to Pacific Rim, said that Silent Hills is “not gonna happen, and it breaks my heart indistinctly”. Currently there are no official statements from Konami or Kojima or announcement of any kind. We look forward to see if in the coming hours/days the company that created the series confirms or denies these statements.
