Due for release in a few days in Japan, Dragon Quest Builders is a RPG of the famous series of Square Enix, offering an inspired gameplay of the popular Minecraft game. Indeed, it will be possible to build its own little world in the Dragon Quest universe, still offering an adventure dimension with a specific scenario.

As part of an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu, Noriyoshi Fujimoto, producer of Dragon Quest Builders, provided some details of his title.

He said the history of the game will be as long as that of a Dragon Quest classic, with a lifespan announced in a straight line between 50 and 60 hours. He said that if exploration of every continent is done, the milestone of 100 hours can be easily crossed.

Fujimoto also stressed that the cities of the main campaign of the game will be of modest size, due to a desired limitation. However, the “Free Build Mode” will meanwhile build much larger city. Moreover, this game mode will allow us to give ourselves to the construction, without risk of monster attacks. However, some islands are dedicated to fighting if necessary.

Recall that Dragon Quest Builders will be marketed on 28 January 2016 to Japan on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. Pending output confirmation in Europe, know that a playable demo is available for several days on the Japanese PlayStation Store.
