Rockstar North Chief and lead developer of GTA Leslie Benzies Resigns
Rockstar has confirmed that Leslie Benzies, head of the studio behind the series of GTA (Grand Theft Auto), has definitely left his post, following a sabbatical that began in September 2014.
One of the most popular development studios with players, Rockstar North (initially DMA Design) is the origin of the famous series of GTA (Grand Theft Auto). The development team continues to work on the license, including the next GTA VI.
At the head of this company, Leslie Benzies has officially left the office. Rockstar Games has made an official statement to the website Kotaku, announcing that Benzies was on sabbatical since September 2014 and the former CEO has finally decided not to return to work for Rockstar.
Benzies has worked for Rockstar over 15 years. He began as a producer for GTA III in 2001 and was also affected by other titles such as Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire or Max Payne 3.
According to Kotaku, Benzies will be replaced by Aaron Garbut and Rob Nelson, Rockstar veterans who officiated as artistic directors for the company.
