Report: Call of Duty 2020 Will Be A Reboot of Black Ops
Call of Duty is taking it seriously back to its roots, as a new report suggests that Modern Warfare may not be the only restart planned for this franchise. If true, the title of next year, Call of Duty 2020, would be more brutal and grotesque than what we will see next with MW.
Remember the infamous “No Russian” mission in Modern Warfare 2? Well, the CoD that will arrive this year promises to make that mission look like “scene of a children’s movie,” which already says a lot on its own. Now imagine something heavier than that, located in the Cold War, where murders and Black Operations were more than abundant. Sounds like something that could generate a lot of noise in the industry, right?
Well, according to LongSensation, a reliable source of leaks on CoD, the next title of the franchise that will arrive in 2020 will be a reboot of the Black Ops saga:
Call of Duty 2020 has been under 2 names thus far.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops VSet during the Cold War. Spans the entire 40+ years and incs Vietnam and Korean War. Described as even more gritty and gruesome than Modern Warfare.
I'm not joking.
