Zotac NEN SN970 Steam Machine Technical Specifications Revised
The Steam Machines, the computers/gaming consoles under Steam OS will soon be available, and manufacturers gradually confirm their configurations. Zotac has recently confirmed its NEN SN970 Steam Machine.
The Taiwanese manufacturer Zotac has just formalized its NEN SN970, a Steam Machine which will be dedicated to the game on home screen, and officiate under SteamOS, a variant of Linux specially reworked by Valve to redirect a PC environment to the game. The NEN SN970 will be delivered with a Steam controller, the controller that has already met with great success on the Steam platform. The advertised price of the machine is $1,000, which sticks with what was announced in March at the GDC 2015. But if the price was maintained, the machine sees its revised technical specifications downwards.
The Zotac NEN SN970 Steam Machine embarks indeed an Intel Skylage Core i5-6400T processor with four cores clocked at 2.2GHz with a turbo mode at 2.8GHz. The brand is associated with 8GB of RAM and it is on the graphics that we see concessions: there is more question of a GeForce GTX 970 but rather the technical specs shows a presence of GTX 960. The 64GB SSD in M.2 size also gives way to a mechanical 1TB drive.
In terms of connectivity, we find four HDMI 2.0 outputs, six USB ports (three USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0 and one USB Type-C), at the front there is also a SD card reader. The Zotac NEN SN970 also offers two Ethernet ports and also connection of one Bluetooth and WiFi n/ac.
The pricing and availabilty of Zotac NEN SN970 UK is still not confirmed, however, more information can be found on the company’s official website here.
