How to Transfer Save Game Data between PlayStation Now and PS4
Waiting for the start of the Public Beta of PlayStation Now in our country, Sony has shared an important information on the expected streaming gaming service.
The Japanese company explained that the streaming and downloaded versions of the games will have separate save game data. PlayStation Now, remember, for several months also allows you to download the games in the catalog.
Players subscribed to PlayStation Plus will be able to transfer the saved data between the two versions using the Cloud Storage feature included in the subscription price. Below you will find the complete procedure for transferring the save data. It is good to specify that the data saved on the PS3, however, can not be transferred.
Part 1 – Loading game data from PS Now to online storage storage:
- Start the PS Now game from which you want to transfer save game data. After that press the PS Button, and then select [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data on PS Now] > [Copy to Online Storage].
- Select the save game files you want to transfer, and then select [Copy]. If an overwrite warning appears and you wish to proceed, select [Yes]. The progress of the game stored in the online storage memory will be replaced.
Part 2 – Download save game data from online storage to the PS4:
- Press the PS button and select [Return to main screen]. Go to [Settings] > [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data in Online Storage] > [Download to System Storage].
- Select the save game files you want to download and select [Download]. If an overwrite warning appears and you wish to proceed, select [Yes]. The progress of the game stored in the PS4 will be replaced.
