The PlayStation 4 firmware update 7.00 is now available on PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles worldwide. With this new update, the Remote Play functionality is extended, allowing the titles of the console to be played from most Android and iOS phones and tablets, as well as from Windows and Mac computers.
With this Remote use of PS4, players can view the home screen of their console, navigate their menus and play almost any game from another device. For the Remote Play to work it is necessary that both the console and the device from which you want to play are connected to the same local network (it does not matter if one is connected by Wi-Fi and the other by cable). From Sony, they recommend a connection of at least 5 Mbps, but we recommend a 12 Mbps connection through a LAN network cable.
How to play PS4 games from Android
Until now, only Sony Xperia devices with Google’s operating system were compatible with the Remote Play function. The new patch extends this to any phone or tablet that has Android 5.0.
In addition, those who have a mobile or tablet with Android 10 or higher will be able to connect a Dualshock 4 via Bluetooth 2.3, so instead of the touch buttons that will appear on the screen, they will have at their disposal the standard PS4 control.
To use the function you will need the PS4 Remote Play application, which you can download from the Google Play Store.
From PlayStation, they warn that some devices cannot use functions such as the Dualshock 4 touch panel or the vibration function.
How to connect Dualshock 4 to Android Devices
The PS4 controller can connect to Sony Xperia phones and Android 10 phones via Bluetooth 2.3. To do that you have to follow the following steps:

To use Remote Play from an iPhone or iPad, the device needs to have iOS 12.1 or higher. Any recent phone or tablet has a more advanced version of that operating system, but the ones that are left out are all the iPhone before the iPhone 5S, the iPad before the iPad mini 2, and the iPad touch before the 6th generation.
Users of all other devices will only need to download the PS4 Remote Play application from the App Store via this link and connect their device to the same network as their PS4.
How to connect Dualshock 4 to iOS Devices
Players who have iOS 13, iPadOS 13 or tvOS13 or higher on their iPhone, iPad or Apple TV can connect a Dualshock 4 wirelessly and use it as a control method instead of using the touch buttons.
