Quantic Dream Confirms That Future Games Will Be Multiplatform At Launch

We have known for a while that the French developer, Quantic Dream, best known for its most recent project, Detroit: Become Human, wants to launch its future games on all possible platforms. After the investment by the Chinese company, NetEase, in January, the studio led by David Cage has again reiterated its commitment to launch its next title on more than one console.

During a talk with DualShockers, Cage commented on the following: “Quantic Dream is not exclusive to any platform anymore. So yes, unless there are some specific exclusivity deals on a title-by-title basis, all our games will be released on all platforms at launch.”

In other words, unless Sony wants to have the exclusivity of any of the games in their studio, it will have to pay for it. Otherwise, we will also see its games on Xbox and PC.

Another interesting fact is that the team is also considering to start and publish games from other developers, describing itself as a “boutique publisher”. Within its plans, Quantic Dream will support originality and high quality, as well as provide technical and industrial assistance.

Using the knowledge they gained from publishing Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human, the studio will seek a more ethical approach and not seize the intellectual property in question.
