Original Devil May Cry Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

For a long time, several owners of a Nintendo Switch are clamoring for Capcom to bring some titles of Devil May Cry to this console. If you are one of them you will be glad to know that the dealer decided it was time to pamper its community.

What we mean is that, through the Twitter account of the saga, Capcom announced that Devil May Cry is on its way to Nintendo Switch. The distributor did not give more details and only pointed out that it will be available at some point in the summer. It is worth mentioning that it will be the first time that a title of this saga releases on a Nintendo console.

As you can see below, the announcement made by Capcom leaves more questions than answers. That is to say, it only indicates that Devil May Cry will arrive on Nintendo Switch, but it does not mention if it is a port of the original or of the version that arrived in the HD Collection. It also does not indicate what its price will be or if we can expect more titles of Devil May Cry debuted on this console.

“Relive the adventure that introduced the legendary Dante to the world with the original Devil May Cry, coming to Nintendo Switch this Summer,” Capcom said on the social network.

As you probably know, Devil May Cry is a hack-and-slash game that debuted in 2001 on PlayStation 2. This project quickly caught the attention of many and with the passage of time became one of the most iconic sagas of Capcom. Note that it is currently available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
