Minecraft Battle Mode update download available now

Starting today, June 21, the new Battle mode of Minecraft is available on the new consoles. This is a minigame that players will compete in arenas and the update is free; however, there will be an extra content, especially maps, which can be purchased for a fee.
The new Minecraft Battle Mode is launching on the console version of the game. The mode is playable on three new maps: Temple, Medusa and Lair.
These three maps are now available for $2.99. A Season Pass package for two, three and four will cost $9.99.
Battle Mode was announced last month for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. The mode is the first in a series of mini-games for the console version of Minecraft.
Battle Mode revolves around competitive battles in which speed, strategy and luck determine the winner. Players in Battle Matches can use any weapons crates to fight each other on specially designed PvP maps.
This mode is designed specifically for consoles and gives you the opportunity to play against friends and against worldwide strangers through a matchmaking system. In this mode it is not necessary to craft items, as you can collect weapons and equipment easily.
Recall that the maps will be sold separately for $2.99 USD, and also the studio 4J already confirmed that they will release more games, or new game modes, which will be arriving regularly.
