Kojima: Death Stranding Could Have Starred Keanu Reeves
You surely remember that when it was revealed that Keanu Reeves will appear in Cyberpunk 2077, the Internet exploded. That said, at some point there was the possibility that this was not the only launch in which we will see him. What we are referring to is that he was close to playing a character in Death Stranding.
In a panel of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Hideo Kojima, director of Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima, confessed that he was recommended to include Keanu Reeves in the project. That said, he wanted Mads Mikkelsen to be in his game, so that was the decision that was made.
“I originally was recommended Keanu Reeves but I wanted Mads,” were the words shared by the legendary creative.
Now, Kojima did not go into details of this situation, so we do not know who recommended Keanu Reeves to appear in his game. It is also unclear whether Reeves gave life to Cliff (a character who is played by Mikkelsen) or if it was impossible to have the 2 actors in the production for some reason.
Recently, Kojima shared Death Stranding’s new in-game equipment images that you can see at this link. On the other hand, he has also shared Sam’s customization and Landscapes in new off-screen images that you can check here.
Death Stranding will release on November 8 on PlayStation 4. Would you have liked Reeves to appear in Death Stranding? Tell us in the comments below.
