Gears 5: How can you get Hero Characters for the Multiplayer

The issue of microtransactions and the models with which players can obtain additional content for some video games invariably leads to controversy and given the scandals that have been raised for years, companies have opted for transparency prior to launch. In the case of Gears 5, The Coalition has opted for a particular model and in the framework of the technical test that is currently carried out, they revealed the way in which we can get the hero characters for the multiplayer.

During an interview with Gamespot, Ryan Cleven, design director of the multiplayer of Gears 5, revealed how players can get hold of the heroes of the game for the Versus modes. In that sense, the creative noted that the hero system planned for the multiplayer component of Gears 5 will allow each character to be acquired with real money or with the credits received when playing, representing a midpoint with respect to their proposal for this title.

As you know, The Coalition has opted for the balance in microtransactions and content that is acquired with credits from the game and there will be elements that can be purchased with real money, directly and without the intervention of chance, while others will only be available with game credits, so the scale will not tilt to the side.

However, in the case of the heroes of Versus mode, things will be different because each character will have different abilities and characteristics that will have an impact on the gameplay, so the studio decided that the best way to balance would be allowing players to acquire to each character with real money or with the credits they have in the game.

Gears 5 will release on September 10 on Xbox One and PC.
