Xbox Game Pass: Exclusive Microsoft Games Will Remain in the Catalog Permanently

A few days ago, Microsoft has amazed everyone by announcing the expansion of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service which from now on will welcome all the exclusives in the catalog from the day of the launch.

The first title to benefit from it will be Sea of Thieves, which will debut on March 20, 2018. Yesterday two of the most important personalities of Redmond’s home, Aaron Greenberg and Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, are back on the topic to add a detail that will surely make players happy: once the game is installed, the exclusive will remain in the catalog forever.

“Some of our Xbox fans have asked, so wanted to share: we’re adding new Xbox One exclusives to Game Pass with the intention of them being a regular part of the value for being an Xbox Game Pass subscriber going forward!” said Greenberg. To leave no room for doubt, Major Nelson added the following: “In other words: the Xbox One Exclusives will be a permanent part of game pass moving forward.”

This is an important detail since the third-party titles undergo a rotation and after a certain period of time could be eliminated from the catalog. This is the case of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and NBA 2K16, which will leave the service on January 31st.

The excellent news is added to another one that arrived yesterday, when we found that the titles, being Xbox Play Anywhere, will also be available in the subscription on Windows 10 PC.
