Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Will Also Enjoy Play Anywhere Games on PC

Yesterday, Microsoft announced that all of its future first-party launches will be part of Xbox Game Pass from its launch day. This thrilled many owners of Xbox One, who can enjoy some premieres without having to spend a lot of money. If you play the Microsoft exclusives on Windows 10 it’s likely that you felt left out; however, you do not have to do it, since you can also enjoy some of the benefits of this program via Play Anywhere.

What we mean is that, while a game forms the Play Anywhere program, Xbox Game Pass users can enjoy it on Xbox One and PC. Don’t you believe us? Then you should know that Aaron Greenberg, the marketing manager of Xbox Games, confirmed it from his Twitter account.

“Yes if the title is Xbox Play Anywhere you can play the PC version too if you are a Game Pass member,” said the executive.

So, if you have a PC for gaming and want to enjoy some of the Play Anywhere titles on Xbox Game Pass, all you have to do is enter the Microsoft store and subscribe to the service. Once you do, just look for the title you want to download in the Microsoft store and select the “Install” option.

Something that is important to keep in mind is that this only applies to titles that are Play Anywhere. That is, while you can take advantage of it to enjoy Gears of War 4, ReCore: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2, it does not give you access to titles like Halo 5: Guardians, Darksiders or Resident Evil 6.

While it is likely that you already knew this feature of the service, it is good to see that Xbox executives recognize its existence.

Recall that recently Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, confessed that he would like to make Xbox Game Pass available for PC. That said, it will depend a lot on the number of launches it will have in the service.

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that, at a price of $9.99 USD per month, gives you access to a collection of over 100 titles for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
