Following the release of the new trailer of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has released a press release that stated that this new version of the famous RPG is finally cut into parts and that several studios will be involved in this ambitious project.
Long hoped by the players, the remake of Final Fantasy VII was finally confirmed by Square Enix a few months ago. This ambitious project took advantage of an unprecedented video as part of the PlayStation Experience this weekend, showing phases of the in-game battles which resembles the system in place with Final Fantasy XV.
In parallel, the Japanese publisher has published a press release which states that “the remake of FFVII will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.” Thus, it is confirmed that the game will be divided into several episodes.
Through the site Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura – Director of the Project- confessed that the high ambition of the game requires the help of other studios as reinforcements. CyberConnect2, to whom we owe the video games based on the Naruto manga, will also be one of the companies who will work on the remake of Final Fantasy VII. Development teams and the upcoming Dissidia and series of Kingdom Hearts will be also present.
Nomura also provided some details of the scenario, pointing out that the frame of the title of 1997 will be exploited, but some elements will be erased in favor of new fully deleted scenes.
Recall that the remake of Final Fantasy VII does not yet have a release date, but we already know it will be sold on PlayStation 4 though.
