DOOM Switch cartridge will only include single-player campaign
Were you excited about DOOM’s announcement for Switch? Well, we have new information on this version of the shooter title of Bethesda.
As expected, the game will arrive in a digital and physical format with all the updates and DLC available so far. Something you should know, not to be surprised, is that the cartridge of the game will only come with the main single-player campaign of DOOM.
As you may have guessed, this is due to the limitations in the ability of the game cartridges of Switch. In addition, it is likely that Nintendo and Bethesda have agreed to this so that the costs of the game will not skyrocket.
This does not imply that the multiplayer will not arrive on Nintendo Switch, as it can be downloaded directly to the console for free. Of course, players who purchase the digital edition will receive all the content in a single download.
In case you were wondering, this version of the game will not include SnapMap, level editor available in the other editions of the title. Despite this, the fact of being able to enjoy DOOM in a portable way balances the game slightly.
DOOM is expected to release on Switch by the end of the year. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will also make its arrival to the console of Nintendo Switch; however, we will have to wait until 2018.
Remember that the entire DLC of DOOM is available for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
