Doom Release Date and a Collector’s Edition announced along with a new Trailer
Bethesda plays the teasing for several months around the back of one of the most legendary video game franchises, Doom, offering an official trailer and a release date now.
The reboot of Doom is highly anticipated by the gaming community. And for good reason, this is probably one of the most popular franchises, which will truly launch a genre, that of FPS in 3D in 1993.
Furthermore the title is also expected because it has experienced a long development and strewn with pitfalls. Launched in 2008, the development of the reboot of Doom had been abandoned by ID Software three years later in 2011. In the end, it is Bethesda, the studio behind Fallout who took over the franchise.
Now, Doom is sure to come out, and even offers an official launch date of May 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
For this album, we note a real return of the original discovering HD versions and hyper detailed monsters of the first episode and its atmosphere both heavy and gore. A real return of the original that also wants to settle with Doom 3 which was focused more on the technical aspect of the gameplay.
A collector version of the title will be also proposed. It will integrate, for an unknown price, a figure of a 12” tall collector’s statue of the Revenant, a copy of the game packaged in an exclusive metal case and a set of virtual objects dedicated to multiplayer: a set of demon armor, metallic paints, the exclusive logos and the modules of hacking.
