Death Stranding Easter Egg in Horizon Zero Dawn found

Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding share the same technology created by Guerrilla Games, the Decima Engine. With this close collaboration between the creators of Killzone and the new Kojima Productions by Hideo Kojima, some kind of Easter egg among the games that has already been found was predictable.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding are united thanks to the potential of the Decima Engine, the graphics engine used by Guerrilla Games in its latest title and for which Kojima chose to give life to Death Stranding.

There are still a few days left for the officially launch of Horizon Zero Dawn but, as you know, the press already have their copies to perform analysis on the PS4 title. Thanks to this, some early players have found out that Horizon Zero Dawn has an Easter egg dedicated to Hideo Kojima.

As you can see both in the images above and in the video below, the resemblance to “Ludens” which the logo and mascot of the company, is more than evident.

This connection is in one of the collectibles that Aloy can find throughout her adventure. It is a rare “abandoned amulet”, which is represented by an icon that suspiciously reminds the hulk of Ludens, the mascot of Kojima Productions.

Its description does not leave much doubt, since it mentions to six blocks of rusty metal hanging from a cable. This item, reminiscent of identification plates, is carried by the virtual actor of Norman Reedus in the first trailer of Death Stranding.

Horizon: Zero Dawn launches on March 1. Death Stranding still has no estimated launch date.
