Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 Could Release Sooner Than Expected
According to the Polish analyst Strefain Westorow, the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 may not be too far, a deduction made by analyzing the financial situation of CD Projekt RED.
During the last meeting with shareholders, the leaders of the Polish firm announced their intention not to pay dividends for the current fiscal year (which will end on March 31, 2019, with the aim of using that money for the promotional campaign of Cyberpunk 2077).
Strefain Westorow informs that thanks to the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the company has generated decidedly high profits on an annual basis, reaching 200 million dollars in 2017. Thanks to this CD Projekt has been able to work safely on the project continuing to generate revenue and becoming, in fact, the only video game developer listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Last year the group paid dividends of around 24 million euros, a figure that managers intend to save this year in order to invest in the reveal and marketing campaigns of Cyberpunk 2077, with the aim of immediately generating excellent profits with the game as soon as it becomes available.
It has long been rumored of a possible appearance of Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2018 in June and rumors would like CD Projekt to agree with Microsoft for the promotion of the game while other rumors speak of a project very close to the PlayStation brand.
At the moment, however, we are in the field of pure speculation, the only certainty is that CD Projekt RED will be present at the fair in Los Angeles. Numerous rumors also seem to indicate the release of the game on PlayStation 5 and the New Xbox.
