During E3 2016, Microsoft has announced its Xbox Play Anywhere program, which allows to buy games of Xbox One or Windows 10 for playing them on both platforms. Now, thanks to Xbox page, we can have more details on this system and know the first games that will be available.
So, you should know that the Xbox Play Anywhere program allows you to save your progress in a single file that will be shared between the version of Xbox One and Windows 10, the achievements are unlocked per game, not per platform, and will have the same price of a regular title. In addition, all DLC that you buy can use both systems at no extra charge.
For this to work, you must have the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. It is necessary to make clear that this program is only available for downloadable versions, not for the discs.
Also, players can only enter the game on a Xbox One console or PC with Windows 10. This means you cannot run the same title on the console or PC at the same time.
So far, only a few titles have this new feature, but Microsoft promised that more will come soon. The games that support this feature will be marked by the Xbox Play Anywhere logo in the Xbox Store or Windows Store, so you know what you’re buying.
