When Xbox One S was introduced at the E3 conference, Microsoft pointed out immediately that the new version of the console will have a 40% smaller body than the original. It was also stressed to support 4K video services (such as Netflix) and the ability to play with HDR effect, as in Gears of War 4.

On his Twitter account, Mike Ybarra, of Redmond, has now confirmed that the console will be able to perform the upscaling of the games in 4K. We remind you that Project Scorpio, future enhanced console, will instead run games natively in 4K. Here’s the tweet in which Ybarra responds to the user confirming the upscaling for all games on Xbox One S:

As you can see from the above tweet, Ybarra did not want to delve more details on the feature.

We remind you that Xbox One S will debut on August 31 with several examples on offer at different price ranges, depending on HDD capacity. The storage capacity ranges from 500GB to 2TB.
