Microsoft: Xbox One Sold More Than PS4 in December, Switch Surpasses Overall Sales
The NPD Group has not yet released the sales data of December in North America but Aaron Greenberg wanted to anticipate the research company by revealing that Xbox One sold more than PlayStation 4 in the US over the past month.
Aaron Greenberg, responsible for the marketing department for Xbox, thanked all the players who helped the Xbox One to have the best sales of its history in the month of December.
Aaron Greenberg says that Xbox One recorded its best December ever, outpacing PlayStation 4 sales in December, but Switch did even better, selling more than the Microsoft console and PS4 combined, always limited to the American market.
The big discounts on One S, the new One X and the release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds seem to have positively influenced the sales of the console, now we just have to wait to find out the plans of Microsoft for 2018.
As stated, NPD has not yet submitted its official data, but Greenberg confirms that Xbox One has broken the provision of the console of Sony and says that it was Nintendo that more units sold in December.
Thank you to everyone who helped support @Xbox One this holiday, @npdgroup just reported our highest Xbox One December console share ever, looking forward to a big 2018! 🙏
