Unreal Engine 4 Tech Demo “A Boy and his Kite” available for download now

Epic Games has finally made free download of the tech demo of “A Boy and his Kite” to test our setup to display all the visual effects. In addition, a standalone version is also available for download.

Offering high performance visual effects, the graphics engine Unreal Engine 4 of Epic Games is increasingly used in future games. As part of the Game Developers Conference 2015 (GDC 2015) last March, Epic Games had released a great tech demo called “A Boy and His Kite”, displaying a rich and detailed rendering.

The development studio finally released this tech demo, so that all users of the graphics engine can freely download the standalone editor version or the version on the official website of the Unreal Engine at this address.

If you do not want to have a client account with Epic Games to recover the files, the standalone version of the tech demo can also be downloaded at this address.

Below is the minimum and recommended configuration requirements to enjoy this tech demo:

Recommended requirements:

  • 6 core processor clocked at 3.3 GHz
  • 24 GB of RAM (in Story Editor)
  • GeForce GTX 980

Minimum requirements:

  • 4-core processor clocked at 2.8 GHz
  • 8 GB of RAM (in Story Editor)
  • GeForce GTX 680
