Tyranny RPG game announced by Obsidian Entertainment
The developer Obsidian Entertainment, known for Pillars of Eternity and KOTOR 2, announced a new RPG game called Tyranny. This game will be issued later this year.
In Tyranny, the grand war between good and evil is over – and the forces of evil, led by Kyros the Overlord, have won. The Overlord’s merciless armies dominate the face of the world, and its denizens must find their new roles within the war-torn realm. Players interact with the populace to inspire loyalty, disgust, or fear as they roam the world as an officer in Kyros’ forces, empowered to act as both judge and executioner.
Tyranny is played using a fully customizable character Fatebinder. Fatebinder the lawyer of the diabolical regime. The world is constituted on the basis of the choices you make in advance for your character. But decisions you make during the game for the people, ensuring that keeps changing the story.
The player will be able to make many choices, being both judge and executioner. You are free to be cruel like a good servant of evil, or otherwise be sympathetic. Your choices will impact the population, you can inspire their loyalty, disgust, fear, etc.
Tyranny was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox. The same publisher also released Pillars of Eternity. Tyranny was announced yesterday at the GDC in San Francisco and will be available sometime in 2016 for PC, Mac and Linux.
