Troy Baker: Death Stranding Will Be “A Statement, A Game That Names Sell”

Hideo Kojima wants to revolutionize the video game industry with the release of Death Stranding, and that is something that actor Troy Baker has made clear in his latest statements.

Baker, who plays Higgs in the game, has made it clear that the title prepared by Kojima Productions will attempt to “advance” the video game sector. During an interview with Push Square, Baker has expressed his opinion on what Death Stranding will entail once it reaches the market in November.

“It’ll definitely be a statement. If you know anything about Kojima, he doesn’t make ‘games’. He’s an amazing world builder. He’s trying to move the medium forward, not just trying to move copies,” says Baker.

However, when it comes to sales of the game, Baker flatly states that Death Stranding will sell just because Kojima’s name is associated with its creation. It doesn’t matter which actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner and others are participating in the project.

“This will be a game that names sell, and it won’t be Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, and it sure as sh*t won’t be Troy Baker,” continued the actor. “The name that’s going to sell this game is going to be Kojima.”

We remind you that Death Stranding, a game in which we will have to unite a fragmented society, will be available on November 8 on PS4.
