Titanfall 2 will not be included in EA/Origin Access
Respawn Entertainment has explained to the website Gamereactor that the expected FPS title of Titanfall 2 will not be included in EA Access, and also access will be neither granted to the early subscribers of the service, nor a 10% discount for the digital purchases of game.
Bad news for those EA Access subscribers who were awaiting the arrival of Titanfall 2 to assert different promotions. Titanfall 2 will not be a part of EA Access or Origin Access.
This means that PC and Xbox One players will not get to play the title before everyone else, try it out before they buy it, or even get discount when it is released on October 28. The studio has emphasized, however, that they might include it in the future, but at least not this year.
Despite being a title published by EA, the game is not within the service because it is part of the EA Partners program, through which the American publisher publishes games other than its own; Titanfall 2 specifically is Respawn property, and it is therefore to the latter to decide whether or not they want the game to be added to EA Access. The owners of the firm have apparently decided that they preferred not to.
Remember that subscribers of EA Access can purchase games and accessories with 10% discount, but Titanfall 2 has set a dangerous precedent by rescinding any advantage offered by this service.
We remind you that Titanfall 2 will hit stores on October 28, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
