The wait for The Last of Us 2 gets more and more intense and the mere thought of having to wait 4 more months to get our hands on the new title of Naughty Dog, does nothing but increase our hype and desire. As the current generation of the Sony console approaches the end of its cycle, it is easy to come across games on consoles pushing the hardware limits to the maximum, trying to achieve the impact of a remarkable graphic.

In one of his latest speeches published on the official PlayStation Blog, the Vice President of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, said that his new blockbuster will be able to take advantage of every single PlayStation 4 resource: “Just as with The Last of Us, we were hitting the limits of memory, of computational power, how many enemies we could have on screen, and the size of levels.”

The Game Director of Naughty Dog at work on The Last of Us 2 promises to all those who anxiously await the release of the title by offering “much wider environments, sequences with a horde of infected, several squads of enemies looking for you in big spaces.” Thanks to improved graphics and the use of all the resources made available by the Sony system, it will help to accentuate the pathos of the story and the identification of users with playable characters. In this way, the protagonists will be able to boast more expressive faces, significantly more fluid animations, and a more complex artificial intelligence.

We remind you that The Last of Us 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 starting February 21st, 2020. In recent news, it was confirmed that the game will feature large areas to explore similar to Uncharted 4.
