The Molasses Flood studio has released a new video and images of The Flame in the Flood, their first game that takes advantage of a release date on PC, Mac and Xbox One.
Revealed for the first time in 2014, The Flame in the Flood comes as a survival game signed by the studio of The Molasses Flood. This last game is composed of studio veterans such as Irrational Games (BioShock), Harmonix and Bungie.
The title looks like a roguelike focused on survival, offering gameplay that can be likened to that of Don’t Starve, all in a post-apocalyptic environment globally. The new video below explains some basics of gameplay, including how to deal with different animals that evolve around the girl and her dog who form the duo of heroes.
It is also explained that the title will not be kind with our nerves, because there will be many ways of dying and, in addition, with every death we will lose all our progress. In short, it is a pure roguelike kind of game. The music remains friendly and strangely adapts to natural laws of The Flame in the Flood.
