Report: Telltale is Negotiating With Other Companies the Conclusion of The Walking Dead
After Telltale Games announced its final closure, many of the fans were stunned and, above all, with doubts about what would happen to The Walking Dead: The Final Season, the last part of the series that led to the success of the company.
Although at the beginning it was mentioned that the project would remain unfinished, it was Telltale Games who informed that they would look for a way to conclude and launch the last 2 episodes. Today, a report says that the company is in negotiations for this to become a reality.
According to a report from Kotaku, anonymous sources with access to what happens at Telltale Games, revealed that the company is in negotiations with different parties interested in launching the last 2 episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
The information indicates that, whatever the path is taken, it is not an operation that generates resources for Telltale to finish and launch the chapters, rather it is about offering the opportunity to other companies to complete the work and commission their publication.
In that sense, the sources mentioned that the progress of the third episode, scheduled to debut on November 16, was close to completion and just needed to polish some details; In fact, it made sure that the chapter was ready to be sent to the ESRB and get a ranking. On the other hand, in regard to the fourth and final chapter of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, other sources revealed that there was already advanced work, in fact, they had already made the first shot of voice recordings.
At the same time, the sources indicated that the ideal would be that the original team could work on the conclusion of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, but this will be difficult since many of these creatives are already looking for another job or have already obtained it, besides that the negotiations between Telltale and the other companies talk about a short contract for the completion of the project.
So far, Telltale Games has not revealed official information about the future of The Walking Dead: The Final Season and in recent days the title was removed from online stores pending the clarification of the situation and confirming or discarding the possibility that it has a dignified end.
