Techland, the studio and creator of the franchises of Dead Island and Dying Light is working on two new games, and Pawel Marchewka, general manager of the studio, spoke about these projects recently.

Dying Light patch 1.4.0

During a conversation with Eurogamer, the executive said that one of these games is a new IP based on an open fantasy world with elements of RPG, “slightly larger Dying Light”. He added that, even with RPG features, it will not be an RPG as such, and will feature a cooperative and individual way.

Regarding the second title, Merchewka remained tight, but it is possible that it is Dying Light 2, as such Techland would take time talking about a possible sequel, not forgetting that the original game had good results.

The executive said that Dying Light reached the 8 million unique players, and and it was pirated 3 million times. We also know that the title of zombies sold 5 million copies in the first 6 months.

As for the date of disclosure of these two games, Marchewka said he hoped the new IP and the mysterious game will come in “within three years”, so we should expect to see these projects at that time.
