Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most popular games of last year and, now that Red Dead Online has finally come out of the Beta phase, players from all over the world continue to love it even now. Unfortunately, only the console user was lucky enough to have fun in the far West imagined by Rockstar Games. The PC version is often subject to rumor, but nothing official has been said.
Recently, the CEO of Take-Two (Rockstar’s parent company and distributor of Red Dead Redemption 2) spoke to investors and commented on a possible release of the game on PC: as stated, “There is no downside to releasing the game on PC.”
Unfortunately, this is all the CEO wanted to say about it. The manager has always stated that it must be Rockstar itself to talk about the possibility of a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2: this new “stance”, however limited, is already a change.
This obviously does not mean that Rockstar is working on the title, or even that it is ready to announce it. That said, we all know that GTA 5 got a PC version after some time (even, after porting from PS3/Xbox 360 to PS4/Xbox One), still achieving a huge success. We all take for granted the arrival of a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, given that on the only consoles it has placed 24 million copies.
Probably, the goal of Rockstar is to propose an enhanced version of the game that exploits the power of high-end PCs, also making Red Dead Online available in an already definitive state: the service continues to evolve on consoles and Rockstar will certainly want to replicate the success of GTA Online. But this is only speculation and not official information: all we can do is wait for news from Rockstar; the company will not be present at E3 2019, so we will probably have to wait a little longer.
