Take-Two is confident regarding the future of Nintendo Switch
Strauss Zelnick (Chief Executive Officer of Take-Two Interactive) spoke about the future of Nintendo Switch during the last meeting with shareholders to illustrate the financial results of the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Since the announcement of the console, Take-Two Interactive has been on the list of companies that would support Nintendo Switch with video games produced by their own home software. At the moment, for example, the well-known US publisher is working on NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18 for the hybrid console signed by Nintendo.
With regard to the console’s performance on the market, the manager Karl Slatoff has called for great sales, also saying that the consumer response will continue to be very strong in the face of Switch. Take-Two is optimistic, which obviously is well linked to the fact that it is investing in getting some of its games on the console.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, said during the last meeting with shareholders that the company is very confident about the future of Nintendo Switch.
Zelnick is said to be “extremely confident” about the platform’s commercial performance, good launch data will, in his opinion, remain in the near future, and this makes Nintendo Switch a console that is definitely interesting for a publisher.
Currently, Take-Two is working on two Switch games, NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18, other projects could be announced in the near future though at the moment there is no certainty about the company’s future plans for platform support of Nintendo.
