Star Wars Battlefront 2 UK Sales Down By 60% Compared to Battlefront 1
According to reports a few hours ago, Star Wars Battlefront 2 failed to capture the first position in the English rankings: the Electronic Arts game ranked second at the top of the Top Ten UK rankings, preceded by Call of Duty WWII and followed by FIFA 18.
Now GFK Chart-Track has released more accurate data on this, showing a decline in retail sales compared to the first episode. Specifically, with regard to physical copies, Star Wars Battlefront 2 sold 60% less than the previous episode in the UK.
In 2015, Star Wars Battlefront recorded the record for the best ever launch for a Star Wars game in England, while the sequel was not received in the same heat. To point out how Star Wars Battlefront came out a day earlier than Battlefront 2, the latter also seems to have recorded good numbers on the digital market, considerably grown compared to two years ago.
At this time, Electronic Arts and GFK did not disclose more detailed information about the retail and digital sales numbers of the game.
