Originally released in 2010, exclusively for Windows PC, the MMORPG game Star Trek Online will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from this fall in the form of free-to-play. Despite the venerable age of more than six years and not really positive reviews at launch, the support from developers has always been remarkable.

The MMORPG will come with improvements in controls that can help the user to “easily navigate both combat ship against ship and ashore”. Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment still believe in the project, and porting on modern consoles is only the first of next steps for this second period of youth of Star Trek Online.

The conversion work has required much time especially for the adaptation of the control system, which makes use of a combination of radial menus and interface completely redesigned from scratch. The announcement still has not arrived on the sly, and was accompanied by a presentation trailer which also shows the progress of the new graphic from the industry.

Star Trek Online gives you the option to choose between factions of the Federation, Klingon and Romulan, with different planets, sectors and craft inspired choice in various TV series of the franchise.
