Sonic Forces first official Gameplay Trailer and new details revealed

After the first offscreen gameplay video leaked last night, now comes the first official gameplay trailer for Sonic Forces, new game of the blue hedgehog being developed in the studios of the Sonic Team and arriving later this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

A few hours ago we have shown you the first offscreen gameplay video of Sonic Forces, the title previously known as Project Sonic 2017, presenting its first details. Now Sega has officially offered its first gameplay trailer and high quality images.

For the occasion, SEGA has also revealed new details about the game, confirming that Sonic Forces will be an evolution of Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. The developers have worked to make the game formula even more varied, for this Sonic Forces will present three different modes, namely Modern, Classic and a third still to be announced.

The clip that has been distributed works at 60 frames per second, which could be a clue to the final version of Sonic Forces. However, a video game that seeks to be frantic and fast in its conception could choose to achieve such a frame rate per second to ensure the best possible experience. At the moment, SEGA has not confirmed anything officially.

The first official gameplay trailer (which you can see at the end of this article) is taken from the Modern mode.

Recall that the game will be based on the new Hedgehog Engine 2, the proprietary engine of Sonic Team created especially for Sonic Forces.

Sonic Forces is planned for this Christmas on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and its name is due to a key element in the game, forces.
