Skyrim and Fallout 4 getting Mod Support on PS4
Bethesda reported that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 itself will support mods on PlayStation 4 after all.
Last September we told you that Sony had not approved the use of mods in versions of PS4 for Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4. Well, it seems that Bethesda and Sony have managed to reach an agreement so that the compatibility of the mods for Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition will be now available on the Sony console.
“We and Sony have worked hard to make this possible,” said Bethesda. Just a few days ago it seemed that the feature would not get to the Sony console because of a conflict between the two companies.
It should be noted that the support will be limited, since they can not use external assets. In other words, all the mods should use the same elements that are already in the game. In the case of Skyrim Remaster, the mods will be available from launch on 28 October; while in the case of Fallout 4 the mods will come later through an update that has not yet finalized its launch.
In addition, Bethesda confirmed that Skyrim and Fallout 4 will have special features in PlayStation 4 Pro, and said that Skyrim: Special Edition, for example, will run at 4K natively.
Finally, developers promised to start working on graphical improvements for Fallout 4 when they are done with Skyrim.
