Shannon Loftis: Crackdown 3 will release in 2017

For some time there is no concrete news about Crackdown 3 and many have begun to worry about the fate of the game, especially after the case of “Scalebound”. In reality the situation is completely under control, as confirmed by Shannon Loftis, General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios.

After some rumors not exactly encouraging, and the lack of detailed information, there’s positive news for Crackdown 3, exclusive title of Microsoft in development for several years now but periodically returned for various reasons.

The latest statements on the project came from the General Manager of Microsoft Studios, Shannon Loftis, who hounded by Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb in a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Xbox confirmed that Crackdown 3 will be releasing in the course of 2017.

During the last episode of This Week on Xbox, Loftis spoke with Major Nelson confirming that the game will be released during this current year: “Well, if you remember how great the original Crackdowns were, with that big open cities, as you leveled up, and your cars and your weapons leveled up. Well, imagine all that times 10. Crackdown 3 is all about the boom, it’s all about, it’s a massive futuristic city. You have smarter enemies, more vehicles, new weapons and the explosions, and the destruction. I mean, it’s really an incredible experience. That game is coming this year.”

Despite assurances, to date there are no substantial news about the launch window of Crackdown 3, although some rumors speak of a proposed publication in the autumn, simultaneously on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Project Scorpio.
