Rise of the Tomb Raider – Xbox 360 vs Xbox One Graphics Comparison Video

If the difference between two identical versions of a video game developed on two different generation platforms was not always obvious to the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, now, control of machines is expressed above all in the multiplication details.

With the output of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, publishers and developers were enthusiastic before the new power offered to them, ironically declaring that the proposed new architecture should allow them to adapt quickly, but however, it will take time to take full advantage of the capabilities offered by the machines.

Two years after their outings, Next Gen machines are finally tamed, and to be convinced, we have just started comparing games adapted on them but also deployed on legacy machines.

This is the case here with a video featuring alongside the Xbox One and Xbox 360 of Rise of the Tomb Raider released on November 13. We thus fully observed the quantum leap made by the Xbox One, on some points atleast. Besides the quality of textures, lights, effects and density of the decorative elements that are much more numerous on Xbox One, but everything is not always rosy: some scenes do not particularly shine more on next gen as shown in the video. Worse, the attention to detail on the most powerful machines leads to an overuse of the available power. By sending more power on some points, others suffer sometimes in the case of aliasing that installs easily on Xbox One in the large decorations on Xbox 360. By trying to dazzle view, it seems that all is not yet fully optimized. Watch the comparison video below:
