Resident Evil 7 gets Play Anywhere program supporting cross-buy on Xbox One and PC
Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has confirmed that Resident Evil 7 will be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. That is, on the digital purchase of the game on Xbox One you will also receive a copy for Windows 10 PC on Windows Store, and vice versa. In addition, as it was confirmed in the past, both versions will be able to share save files.
A little while ago Phil Spencer has confirmed via his official Twitter account that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will support the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This means that the title will support cross-buy and cross-save between Xbox One and PC, so you can play it on both platforms buying it only once.
It is the first time a third party title becomes part of the program Microsoft. The company has confirmed in a subsequent tweet that Play Anywhere games in the future will become more and more numerous.
Unlike the latest installment of the series, this time Capcom has returned to focus on the horror to offer us an adventure that recovers the roots of the series, despite the change of perspective from the third person view to the first person.
Resident Evil VII: Biohazard will be available from January 24, 2017 on Xbox One, PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation VR.
