Ratchet & Clank will run at 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro

Ratchet & Clank will be one of the games that gets updated to take advantage of PlayStation 4 Pro. Insomniac Games has confirmed that the patch will be ready before or at the same time of the launch of new console of Sony, on November 10.

Sony has confirmed a list of 30 games that will be updated on 10 November with modes for PlayStation 4 PRO, allowing access to graphical improvements and performance. Ratchet and Clank will be one of them and today these improvements were revealed. Indeed, the action game platform developed by Insomniac Games will receive a bit of a visual boost.

Contributions will not be found on the side of the framerate, which remains locked at 30 fps for balance reasons of gameplay. However, the resolution will indeed be boosted.

The players with 4K resolution screen can enjoy the game with a much more definition and HDR with an HDMI 2.0 cable. In Ratchet & Clank, 1080p screens will also benefit from an improved image quality with reduction of lagging.

Insomniac mentions to be “excited by the potential of PS4 Pro and what it means for our games. From Ratchet & Clank to our next game with Marvel, Spider-Man, PS4 Pro allows us to show our games with better graphics.”

HDR option will also be available in the standard model, or Slim console of PlayStation 4.
