Rainbow Six Siege map reveals the setting of new Assassin’s Creed?

It has long been talk about a possible Japanese setting for Assassin’s Creed: according to the latest rumor, the next episode of the series will be set in Egypt but it is possible that the feudal Japan may be one of the locations chosen by Ubisoft, at least according to a theory based on a small map clue in Rainbow Six Siege.

There are more than a few people who hope to see the next Assassin’s Creed set in the feudal Japan. Not only because it would give the franchise a breath of fresh air after the European and American environments used so far, but the history of Japan, full of samurai, ninja and all, is very fascinating for Western average user (and then, many might feel the lack of a title in the series of Tenchu, so an AC in the land of the Rising Sun would be the closest thing to a quality substitute).

Ubisoft has always denied all rumors that we saw set for the future titles in the series in Japan, just because it is a location too obvious. Yet, what has been discovered by a Reddit user is a map of Rainbow Six: Siege, that has all the appearance of a beautiful and good clue.

A user of Reddit has found in the Skyscraper map an armor of samurai, zooming in on the buckle we can see this clearly representing the symbol of the Brotherhood of Assassins, logo of the Assassin’s Creed series as always. It could be a simple easter egg, or Ubisoft wanted to suggest something more?

It’s too early to say but according to the latest rumors the reveal of the next Assassin’s Creed should not be too far away, at some point we will have more details about it soon.
