Rage 2 BFG 9000 Exclusive To Deluxe Editions, Cannot Be Obtained In Base Game

The standard version of Rage 2 will not include DOOM’s BFG 9000 weapon at launch, as it will only be accessible to buyers of Deluxe and Collector’s Edition.

Rage 2 is now close to debut and will be available for purchase in various editions. In addition to the standard edition, we are provided a Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition, and what only seems to allow the latter to get the BFG 9000 of Doom at launch.

In the past few months, Bethesda had revealed that the weapon would arrive in the new game made by Avalanche Studios and id Software, but it will not be included for owners of the basic edition. This was confirmed by a publisher community manager on the Reddit pages.

Predictably, part of the audience did not take it well, criticizing the choice of making an extra weapon available and forcing users to pay extra money to get it through one of the special editions. Other players, on the other hand, point out that the BFG 9000 is nothing more than a bonus weapon from another game universe, and that in the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions there are also other exclusive in-game contents.

In recent news, it was confirmed that the game will run at uncapped framerate on PC, however, PS4 supports 1080p/30FPS & Xbox One runs the game at 900p/30FPS.

We remind you that the launch of Rage 2 is set for May 14 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The launch trailer of the game was released this afternoon, check that our below.
