Producer Hints Bayonetta 3 New Details Coming Next Week
At the 2017 Game Awards, there was an announcement of the exclusive Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch, as you will remember. Since then, only a few details have emerged about the development of the game. This includes an anecdote from its producer about how the design process of the game is breaking the mold in a way that veteran players might notice. At the moment little is known about the game itself, but this silence could be broken soon, according to a cryptic tweet.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, who asked for more information on the game, the boss of the Bayonetta series, Hideki Kamiya, revealed that we could see some material already during the “Next week… on a game site… RT @SkippyBaxter.”
However, Kamiya is known for trolling his followers on Twitter, so we don’t know if we’ll actually get any news on the expected game.
With Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 last year, the launch of Astral Chain in August and Bayonetta 3 on the horizon, PlatinumGames is strengthening its relationship with Nintendo. Furthermore, the studio is currently working on a new game “unlike any other”, including two new IPs that they intend to publish independently.
PlatinumGames, up until now, was mainly dependent on other major publishers to market and distribute their games, as the ownership of Bayonetta is shared in part between Sega and Nintendo. It will be interesting to understand the future of post-Bayonetta 3.
Are you waiting for Bayonetta 3?
