Sony Computer Entertainment announced that the programming of a maintenance operation on the online service of PlayStation Network (PSN) will be down next week and over a period of two hours.

Often criticized for its regular maintenance disrupting the online game, the PlayStation Network (PSN), however, wants less subject to such operations in recent months. However, Sony Computer Entertainment has scheduled a new service to its online service.

This action will take place on Wednesday 25, 2016, at 12:30 a.m. EDT and will last until 2:30 a.m. EDT. The schedule will therefore not be a concern to most players because it is a relatively slow period.

During this time, it will be impossible to access the PlayStation Store, to the account management of PSN and the service of PlayStation Video.

To continue to play online during this time, the manufacturer invites us to activate our PS4 as the main console. To do this, you should connect to our profile, and then select Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Settings > Activate as Your Primary PS4 > press Activate.

Sony has also responded with a little message about the downtime:

“We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements. We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
