If there is a game that has hit the bell this year that is undoubtedly PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The title of Bluehole has been a real success both in sales and in the number of players, triggering the Battle Royale fever that other games like Fortnite have followed.
The next desert map of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be revealed next week for the first time, and the gameplay will be shown during the celebration of The Game Awards event in the US, on December 7.
It was the month of July when the new map was announced for the first time. It was revealed that there would be two extra maps for the game: the one mentioned based on the desert and another set on an island in the Adriatic Sea. During this same month, some screenshots of the aforementioned map appeared.
We remind you that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a third-person shooter in a Battle Royale style that today has surpassed all the records of simultaneous players, having been one of the most acquired titles on the Steam platform since long before it left the Early Access program.
This year, in addition, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the nominees for Game of the Year in The Game Awards, the reason for which it has placed the premiere of the map during the event. The game will also have a version for smartphones in China and will soon arrive on Xbox One.
