In recent years, no video game license of the operator Ninja Turtle has proved correct. Yet we learn that the Japanese studio PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, Vanquish, etc.) is planning on an adaptation that could prove promising.
Seen for the first time in comics in 1983, the Ninja Turtles (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in its original title) was a resounding success, so much so that an animated series, film and goodies landed up in the 90s.
More recently, the license took several reinterpretations not always frolic, and a new feature that does not seduce everyone. In terms of video games, after a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles who scored a lot of players on the NES and very good game on the 8-bit Nintendo console and Super NES, the adaptations of video game have been very average thereafter.
This new title dedicated to Ninja Turtles will be the fruit of collaboration between Platinum Games and Activision, and will be the third partnership between the two firms (after Legend of Korra and Tranformers Devastation). The study of Australian record allows us to observe that the game will be rated M (Mature) because of the content slightly violent. The news will not surprise the regulars of the studio productions. The Brazilian record for its part allows us to discover the various media on which this video game is anticipated, namely the PC, PlayStation 3 and PS4, and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
However, things seem to move, since the classification of video games organization in Australia has recently listed on its official website that the Japanese studio PlatinumGames would work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant in Manhattan, published by Activision.
For now, no official information is in order, but given the expertise of the Japanese studio (Bayonetta, Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising), this news seems rather promising.
