PC Games/Contents and All Xbox One Titles Now Eligible for Digital Gifting

Microsoft announced today that the feature to give away digital games and downloadable content (digital gifting), which was released on Xbox One late last year, is now available in Windows 10.

That’s right, the company reported that, from this moment, PC users with Windows 10 will be able to buy games to give them to their friends. In addition, all Xbox One games are now eligible for digital gifting.

That’s not all, as users can also give away Xbox LIVE Gold memberships and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. “This feature has been a huge hit with our fans and has made buying presents for friends and family even easier, especially around the holidays,” the company said.

Gifting a game on Xbox One or PC is very simple. It is only necessary to go to the Microsoft Store and search for the desired game. Once there, the user must select the option “Buy As Gift”. Before finalizing the purchase, the system will ask for the email or Gamertag of the recipient. Once these steps are completed, the person who received the gift will only have to review the Xbox messages in order to change their code.

However, there are some limits. Gift buyers can only buy 2 products with a discount and a total of 10 products with a discount every 14 days. The purchases of gifts with full price have no limits.

In addition, it is not possible to give away Xbox 360 and Xbox Original games, as well as virtual reserves or coins. Another aspect that users should keep in mind is that gifts can only be exchanged in the country or region where they were purchased.
