Overwatch director talks about Nintendo Switch version

According to recent statements by the director of Overwatch, bringing the shooter game to Nintendo Switch is not ruled out. However, Jeff Kaplan warned that this is unlikely the situation. “Getting Overwatch on the Switch is very challenging for us. But we’re always open-minded about exploring possible platforms,” said Jeff Kaplan.

Kaplan added that he has personally enjoyed Nintendo Switch since its debut, and also declared himself a fan of Nintendo in general, with the Nintendo 3DS as his second favorite game system of all time; however, he did not mention which is his first gaming console.

As you will remember, Overwatch is the first all-new franchise of Blizzard in 16 years. The game is currently available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Overwatch has more than 25 million registered players in the latest report, but it is worth noting that the number is not exactly the number of copies sold.

Overwatch is a game in constant evolution, and for that reason the developers have already revealed that the next character will be Orisa, a robot that at the moment is only available for testers.

What do you think of this news? Could Overwatch increase sales of Nintendo Switch after the great initial success with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Let us know in the comment section below.
