Microsoft has confirmed yesterday the release date of the PC version of Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition – which previously had its premiere postponed to “ensure that all users have the same experience,” arriving on 27 of April 2016.
As originally announced in August 2015, Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition edition brings new areas and unpublished skills of the protagonist of the adorable puzzle/platform game of Moon Studios. In addition, this release brings the cross save features with the edition of Xbox One.
Moreover, Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition includes a “Theatre Mode” where players can only watch the cutscenes and cinematic moments of the game. “Not only that, but you can see conceptual materials of the game, and other fun content that we have prepared,” concluded Coates.
On the issue of gameplay, the final version adds another attack on the repertoire of Ori, entitled Light Burst – whose functionality is similar to a grenade – as well as a new movement of “dash”, which can be used among the movements that the protagonist already has.
Finally, now players will be able to select different levels of difficulty, from easy, medium, hard and a mode of only one life – so the game becomes almost a roguelike.
Recall that Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition finally will finally arrive on PC and will be available on Steam and Windows Store on April 27.
